Alright, let’s talk about this little experiment I did in the kitchen. So, I’ve been trying to eat a bit healthier lately, but I’ve got this sweet tooth, you know? And ice cream? Don’t even get me started. But the store-bought stuff is usually packed with sugar and stuff I can’t even pronounce.
So I heard about this thing called a Ninja Creami. Apparently, it can turn almost anything into ice cream. I thought, “Yeah, right.” But then I saw some videos, and people were making ice cream out of frozen bananas! I was like, “Hold up, this could be a game-changer.”
So, I got myself one of these Ninja Creami gadgets. First thing I did? Bananas, obviously. I took a bunch of ripe bananas, peeled ’em, and chopped them into chunks. Then I tossed them into the freezer overnight. You gotta freeze them for like, a solid 24 hours, but sometimes I only wait 4–6 hours and it’s still fine. That’s the hardest part, waiting.

The next day, I took those frozen banana chunks out. Now, the Creami comes with these special containers. You just dump your frozen stuff in there. I added a splash of milk, just a little, to help it blend. I have used yogurt too and it also works great.
The process
- Prepare the Bananas: I started by peeling some ripe bananas. I cut them into smaller pieces, about half an inch thick.
- Freeze the Bananas: I put the banana pieces in one of those Ninja Creami pint containers. Then, I stuck it in the freezer. The instructions say to freeze it for 24 hours, but I did try 4-6 hours and that worked for me too.
- Add some liquid: Once they were good and frozen, I took the container out. I poured in a little bit of milk to help the bananas blend.
- Blend Time: I put the lid on the container and popped it into the Ninja Creami. I pressed the “Ice Cream” button, and the machine started doing its thing.
- A few minutes later: I had to wait a few minutes, but then the machine stopped. I opened it up, and there it was – banana ice cream!
- Taste Test: I took a spoonful, and it was surprisingly good! It was creamy, sweet, and tasted just like bananas.
It actually turned into ice cream! It was creamy, it was sweet, and it tasted like bananas, obviously. But it was good, really good! And the best part? No added sugar! Just bananas and a little bit of milk. It was like magic, I’m telling you.
I was so excited, I started experimenting. I added a little bit of honey, and it was pretty good too. You can add other frozen fruits, but they have to be thawed out a bit first, or you can just blend them up with the bananas and milk. I’m thinking of trying some other stuff, maybe some peanut butter or something. The possibilities are endless!
Anyway, I just wanted to share this little discovery. If you’re looking for a healthier way to satisfy your ice cream cravings, you gotta try this. It’s so easy, and it’s actually good for you. I’m definitely making this a regular thing in my kitchen. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
