Okay, so yesterday I was craving something sweet but also kinda healthy, you know? I had some strawberries and bananas lying around, so I thought, why not make a smoothie? I’ve heard about the strawberry banana smoothie benefits, so I figured I’d give it a shot and see what all the fuss was about.

First, I grabbed my blender. It’s nothing fancy, just a regular one I got on sale a while back. Then, I washed the strawberries – about a cup, I guess. I hulled them, which basically just means I pulled off the green leafy tops.

Next, I peeled two ripe bananas. They were getting a little brown, which is perfect for smoothies because they’re extra sweet that way. I broke them into chunks so they’d blend easier.

My Simple Recipe

  • 1 cup of strawberries (hulled)
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • About 1/2 cup of milk (I used regular, but you can use almond, soy, whatever you like)
  • A few ice cubes (maybe 4 or 5)

I dumped everything into the blender – strawberries, bananas, milk, and ice. Then I put on and screwed the top on tight ’cause I didn’t want a smoothie explosion all over my kitchen. And blended it all up until it was nice and smooth. It only took like a minute, maybe less.

I poured it into a glass, and honestly, it looked pretty good! It was pink and creamy, and it smelled amazing.

The first sip was delicious! It was sweet, but not too sweet, and the banana and strawberry flavors went together perfectly. It was also really refreshing, especially with the ice. I felt pretty good about myself, you know, getting some fruits in and all that. It was way better than reaching for a cookie or something.

Afterward, I definitely felt fuller and was in a good mood, I’m no expert, but I can see why these smoothies are a thing. It was easy, tasty, and I felt great. I’ll definitely be making this again!
