Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post, following your instructions:
So, I’ve been on this baking kick lately, right? And what’s better than banana bread? Banana bread with a little something extra. I decided to throw some dried cranberries into the mix, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer.
First, I gathered all my stuff. Like, I literally put everything on the counter. Makes it way easier, you know? Here’s what I used:

- 3 ripe bananas (the browner, the better, seriously)
- 1/3 cup melted butter (unsalted, because I like to control the salt)
- 1/2 cup sugar (I used regular granulated, but brown sugar would be awesome too)
- 1 egg, beaten (just whisk it up a bit with a fork)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (the good stuff, not the imitation!)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt (see, I told you I like to control it)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries (the star of the show!)
The Mixing
Preheated the oven, 350.
Greased loaf pan, 9×5 inch.
Okay, first things first, I mashed the bananas. I like to leave ’em a little chunky, but you do you. Then, I stirred in the melted butter. Make sure the butter isn’t super hot, or it’ll cook the egg.
Next, I added the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla. I just used a wooden spoon, nothing fancy. Mixed it all up until it was pretty smooth.
In a separate bowl (yeah, more dishes, I know), I sprinkled the baking soda and salt over the flour. Then, I mixed that into the wet ingredients. Don’t overmix it! Just until it’s combined is fine.
The Good Stuff
Finally, I folded in the dried cranberries. I love how they get all plump and juicy when they bake.
I poured the batter into the greased loaf pan and popped it in the oven. I baked for about 50-60 minutes. The way to know is done is toothpick in center comes out clean.
The Hardest Part
I let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then took the loaf out on wire rack and let it cool completely. This is the hardest part, because it smells SO good.

And that’s it! Seriously, so easy. And the cranberries add this amazing sweet-tart thing that’s just… chef’s kiss.
