Okay, so I was messing around with my kid the other day, and we got into this whole “name a fruit that starts with…” game. He stumped me with the letter “L”. Honestly, I couldn’t think of many off the top of my head. So, I decided to do a little digging and, you know, actually learn something.
My “L” Fruit Journey
First, I grabbed my phone and fired up Google. Just typed in “fruits that start with L”. Pretty basic, right?
The initial list was kinda long, and some of them I’d never even heard of. So, I started going through them one by one.
- Lemons: Okay, duh. This one was easy. We use lemons all the time for lemonade and stuff.
- Limes: Another obvious one. I use limes for cooking. tacos, drinks, you name it.
Then things got a little more interesting.
- Lychees: I remembered eating these a bunch when I was a kid. They’re those little, round, red fruits with the bumpy skin. I had to look up a picture to be sure. The inside is white and sweet.
- Longans: Never eaten many of these before. I found some pictures that shows longans look a lot like lychees, but the skin is smoother and more brown. Sounds interesting!
I kept scrolling through the list and found a few more that I’d vaguely heard of, like “lemon aspen” and “limeberry,” but I’ve definitely never seen those in the grocery store.
My “L” Fruit Conclusion
So, after all that “research,” I realized there are more “L” fruits than I thought, but most of them aren’t exactly common, at least not where I live. I managed to remember the basic ones and learn about some others.
