Okay, so I was trying to come up with a fun food challenge for myself, and I landed on this: listing fruits that start with the letter “M.” Sounds easy, right? Well, it was a little trickier than I thought!
First, I racked my brain, trying to think of all the obvious ones. Of course, I got:
- Mango
- Melon (I know, I know, that’s kind of a category, but hey, it starts with M!)
Then, I hit a wall. I was like, “Surely there are more than two M fruits!” So, I pulled out my phone and started Googling. I typed in “fruits that start with M” and…wow! There were way more than I expected.

I found some I’d heard of, but never really thought about, like:
- Mandarin Orange
- Mamey Sapote
And then there were a bunch I’d never heard of! I discovered things like:
- Macadamia nut (Okay, so a “nut” is technically a type of fruit!)
- Miracle Fruit (apparently, this one makes sour things taste sweet – wild!)
My Little Experiment Result
I managed to snag some mangoes and mandarin oranges at the grocery store. I already had a melon at home.
I decided not go for the really out-there ones.
I am supper happy. It is so funny.
So yeah, that was my little “M fruit” adventure. It was a fun way to learn about some new fruits, and it definitely made my grocery shopping a little more interesting!
