Okay, so, I wanted to try something different, something I saw on Cook’s Country – English Muffin Bread. I’m no expert baker, but it looked pretty easy, and I figured, why not? I’m pretty new to this whole baking bread thing, so this is me, just jumping in.
First off, I got all my stuff together. I followed the recipe’s ingredient list. I mixed the dry ingredients—flour, sugar, salt, and yeast—in a big bowl. Nothing fancy, just your regular kitchen stuff. It seemed like a good start, I was really enjoying it.
Then came the wet ingredients. I heated up some milk and water, just like the recipe said. I made sure it wasn’t too hot, you know, just warm enough. I poured that into the dry mix and stirred it all up. It started to look like dough, which was pretty cool to see. Then, kneaded it a little bit.

Next, I greased a loaf pan. I didn’t want the bread to stick, so I made sure to coat the pan all over. Transferred the dough into the pan, covered it with a kitchen towel and let it rise for a while. I watched some TV while I waited, not gonna lie. It looked like it doubled in size, which was a good sign, I think.
After that, it was time to bake. I preheated the oven, popped the loaf in, and waited. The smell in my kitchen was amazing! I kept peeking at it through the oven door, couldn’t help myself. Finally, it was done, and it looked beautiful – golden brown on top.
I took it out of the oven, let it cool for a bit, and then sliced it. It was soft, had those nooks and crannies just like English muffins, and tasted great with some butter and jam. I was pretty proud of myself, to be honest. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine, and it was delicious.
- Mixed dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, yeast).
- Heated milk and water.
- Combined wet and dry ingredients, kneaded.
- Greased loaf pan, let dough rise.
- Preheated oven, baked the bread.
- Cooled and sliced the bread.
So, that’s my little adventure with English Muffin Bread. It was fun, a bit messy, but totally worth it. If I can do it, anyone can. Give it a try sometime!
