Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post, following your instructions and example:
Alright, folks, gather ’round! Today, I tackled a recipe I’ve been eyeing for a while: Crisco Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies. Let me tell you, the name doesn’t lie – these things are addictive! I am not a baker I am a programmer, But baking is fun!
Getting Started
First things first, I gathered my ingredients. The usual suspects were there: flour, sugar, peanut butter (of course!), and the not-so-secret weapon, Crisco. I’ve used butter in cookies before, but I was curious to see how Crisco would change things *’s my first time use Crisco!

- Flour – Yep, the basic stuff.
- Sugar – Both white and brown, because why not?
- Peanut Butter – I went with creamy, because that’s what I like.
- Crisco – The shortening, in all its glory.
- Eggs – To bind everything together.
- Baking Soda & Vanilla Extract – The little things that make a big difference.
The Mixing Begins
I started by creaming together the Crisco, peanut butter, and sugars. I used my trusty hand mixer, because I’m not fancy enough for a stand mixer. It took a bit of elbow grease, but eventually, it all came together in a nice, smooth *, beat it until fluffy.
Next, I mixed in the eggs and vanilla. Easy peasy.
The Dry Stuff
In a separate bowl, I whisked together the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of * add the baking soda.
Combining Forces
I gradually added the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Overmixing is a no-no, so I was careful! The dough looked pretty good – not too sticky, not too dry.
Baking Time!
I dropped rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet. I didn’t bother with parchment paper, because I like to live on the edge (and I hate doing dishes). I then used fork pressed the cookies down.
Into the oven they went! I baked them at 375°F (that’s about 190°C for my metric friends) for, I don’t know, maybe 8-10 minutes? I just kept an eye on them until they were golden brown around the edges. I was excited!
The Taste Test
Oh. My. Goodness. These cookies were amazing! Seriously, I couldn’t stop eating them. The Crisco made them super soft and tender, with a slightly crispy edge. The peanut butter flavor was on point, and they were just the right amount of sweet.
My final verdict? These cookies are definitely irresistible. 10/10 would make again (and probably will, very soon). My kids love it! My wife love it,too!
