Okay, so I tried making banana bread today, and let me tell you, it was way easier than I thought it would be. The recipe I found only needed three ingredients. I’m not even kidding, just three! I was like, “No way, this can’t be right,” but I went with it anyway.
First, I grabbed three super ripe bananas. I mashed them up really good in a big bowl until they were all gooey.
- Mash bananas
- Mix with flour and eggs
- Bake
Then, I dumped in some self-rising flour. I used about one and a half cups, but you might need a bit more or less depending on how big your bananas are.

After that, I cracked two eggs into the bowl and stirred everything together. I just used a fork, nothing fancy. I mixed it until it was all combined, but I didn’t overmix it. You don’t want to do that with banana bread.
Getting It in the Oven
Once the batter was ready, I poured it into a loaf pan that I had greased and floured.
I popped it into the oven, which I had already preheated to 350 degrees. The recipe said to bake it for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Mine took closer to 45 minutes, but every oven is different.
When it was done, I took it out of the oven and let it cool for a bit before I sliced into it. And guess what? It was actually pretty good! It was moist and sweet, and you could really taste the banana. I was honestly shocked that something so simple could taste so good. You should definitely give it a try if you’re looking for an easy baking project.
