Okay, so I’ve been seeing this Paula Deen Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding recipe floating around, and it looked so good I just had to try it. Let me tell you, it’s as amazing as it sounds. Here’s how I made it:
First, I grabbed a big baking dish, like a 9×13 inch one. Then I tore up a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts into bite-sized pieces. Just ripped them apart with my hands – it’s kinda fun, actually. I spread those pieces all over the bottom of the dish.
Next, in a separate bowl, I dumped in a can of sweetened condensed milk. That stuff is thick and sweet! Then I opened up two small cans of fruit cocktail, juice and all, and added them to the bowl. I cracked two eggs into the mix and sprinkled in some raisins from a box. I just used the whole box – why not?
After that, I gave everything in the bowl a good whisk until it was all combined. It looked kinda messy, but trust me, it’s gonna be delicious. I poured this mixture over the donuts in the baking dish, making sure all the donut pieces were soaked.
Then I covered the dish with some plastic wrap and stuck it in the fridge. The recipe said you can leave it for up to 24 hours, I left mine for about 6 hours because we were getting together with the neighbors for dinner and didn’t want to wait too long.
When I was ready to bake, I preheated my oven to 350 degrees. I took the plastic wrap off the dish and popped it in the oven. The recipe said to bake for 45 minutes, and that worked out perfectly.
When it was done, I pulled it out of the oven. The top was golden brown and a little crispy, and the whole house smelled amazing. I let it cool for a bit before serving. And oh my goodness, it was so good. Warm, gooey, sweet, and just the right amount of fruity. Everyone loved it!
You should absolutely try this recipe – it’s a winner!
