Okay, so, I’ve been craving something sweet and decadent lately, and I remembered this recipe for Reese’s Peanut Butter-Chocolate Revel Bars that I wanted to try. They looked so good in the pictures, all gooey and rich. So, I decided to give them a shot.

First things first, I gathered all the ingredients. You know, the usual suspects like flour, sugar, butter, eggs. Then the stars of the show: peanut butter and chocolate. I made sure I had enough Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups too, ’cause those are key.

I started by creaming together the butter and sugars. I like to use my electric mixer for this, it just makes things easier. Once that was light and fluffy, I beat in the eggs one at a time. Then I added the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. You don’t want to overmix, or the bars will be tough.

Now for the fun part! I pressed about half of the dough into a greased baking pan. Then, I melted some chocolate and peanut butter together in a saucepan. It smelled amazing! I poured that luscious mixture over the dough in the pan, spreading it evenly.

Next, I chopped up a bunch of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and sprinkled them generously over the chocolate-peanut butter layer. I mean, you can’t have too many, right? Finally, I crumbled the rest of the dough on top, kind of like a streusel.

Into the oven it went! I baked it for about 30 minutes, until it was golden brown and the edges were just starting to set. The smell while it was baking was absolutely divine. I could hardly wait to try them!

Once they were cooled slightly, I cut them into squares. Oh my goodness, they were even better than I imagined! So rich, so gooey, with that perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate. These are definitely going into my regular rotation.

  • Tips from My Kitchen:

  • Make sure your butter is softened, it makes creaming so much easier.
  • Don’t overbake! You want them to be a little soft in the center.
  • Let them cool completely before cutting, or they’ll fall apart. (I learned that the hard way!)
  • Feel free to add more Reese’s, if that is what you want.

These bars are seriously addictive, so be warned! They’re perfect for a party, a potluck, or just a special treat for yourself. Give them a try, you won’t regret it!
