Okay, here’s my sharing about making Angel Hair Pasta with Lemon and Garlic.
So, the other day, I was craving some pasta but wanted something light and fresh. I decided to make angel hair pasta with lemon and garlic – it sounded fancy, but trust me, it’s super easy.
First things first, I got all my ingredients together. I grabbed some angel hair pasta, a couple of lemons, a few cloves of garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and some fresh parsley ’cause why not? I like a little green in my dishes. Fresh stuff is always the way to go, you know?
I started by putting a big pot of water on the stove to boil. While waiting for that, I got busy with the lemons. I zested one of them – basically, I just grated the outer yellow part of the skin. That’s where all the lemony goodness is! Then I juiced both lemons. I just cut them in half and squeezed the heck out of ’em. Lemon zest and lemon juice make the dish pop!
Next up, garlic. I minced it up real fine. I love garlic, so I used like three big cloves. If you’re not a huge fan, maybe stick to one or two. Or if you are lazy like me, just throw them in whole, no biggie.
- boil water
- zest and juice lemons
- mince garlic
Once the water was boiling, I tossed in a good pinch of salt – gotta season that water! Then in went the angel hair pasta. This stuff cooks super fast, like 30 seconds to 1 minute, or just follow what it says on the box. It is really quick!
While the pasta was cooking, I heated up some olive oil in a pan. I threw in the minced garlic and cooked it for a minute until it smelled amazing. Just be careful not to burn it, ’cause burnt garlic is no good. Then, I added the lemon zest and juice to the pan. I let that simmer for a bit, just enough to blend the flavors.
Once the pasta was done, I drained it. I took the pasta and added it straight to the pan with the lemony, garlicky oil. I tossed everything together, making sure each strand of pasta was coated in that deliciousness.
Finally, I sprinkled in some chopped parsley, gave it a final toss, and seasoned with salt and pepper to my liking. And that’s it! I served it up, and man, it was good. Light, tangy, garlicky – just what I was craving.
The Finished Product
This angel hair pasta with lemon and garlic turned out to be a real winner. It’s simple, quick, and tastes like you put in way more effort than you actually did. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or whenever you want something tasty without the fuss. I heard someone say angel hair is for broth, not sauce, but for me? This is where it is at!
