Air Fryer Hash Brown Patty: The Best Way to Achieve a Golden, Delicious Crunch

Okay, here is my sharing about how I made hash brown patties in my air fryer:

So, I’ve been on this whole air fryer kick lately. It’s just so easy, you know? I wanted to make some hash browns, and I thought, why not try them in the air fryer? I grabbed my bag of frozen hash brown patties – you know, the ones that are already formed into little circles. I didn’t have any fresh potatoes on hand, but I figured the frozen ones would work just fine.

First things first, I preheated my air fryer to 400 degrees. While that was warming up, I took the hash brown patties out of the freezer and lightly brushed both sides with some olive oil. I figured this would help them get nice and crispy. Oh, and I also sprinkled a little salt and pepper on them for some extra flavor. Just eyeball it, no need for any of this fancy measuring stuff.

Once the air fryer was preheated, I arranged the patties in a single layer in the basket. Make sure they’re not overlapping, or they won’t cook evenly. My air fryer is one of those fancy ones with two baskets, so I was able to cook a bunch at once. If you have a small air fryer, no problem, just do it in multiple rounds. Then, I popped them into the air fryer and set the timer for 10 minutes.

  • Preheat the air fryer.
  • Brush hash browns with oil.
  • Put them in the basket.

After 10 minutes, I flipped the patties over and cooked them for another 5-7 minutes. Keep an eye on them, though, because every air fryer is a little different. You want them to be golden brown and crispy, not burnt.

The Result?

When they were done, I took them out of the air fryer and let them cool for a minute or two. And let me tell you, they were amazing! Super crispy on the outside, and nice and fluffy on the inside. Way better than the ones I used to make in a pan with a ton of oil. This is my new favorite breakfast food, for sure! If you’ve got an air fryer, you gotta give this a try. It’s so simple and so good!
